Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a gothic novel by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, first printed in 1886. This novel is about a lawyer, named Gabriel John Utterson who inspects strong occurrences between his old friend Dr. Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde. Dr. Jekyll has been examining with identity. He has evolved a drug which distinct the two sides of his nature, allowing him to leave himself to his most corrupt inclinations as the monstrous Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are two sides of the same person's personality, splitted into two bodies by chemical manipulation. As a story it talks about the concept of good and bad that lives in all of us. A book about a split personality or what is technically called 'dissociative identity disorder'. It includes the elements of mystery, surprise and psychological thriller. The names of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the two different egos of the main character, have become shorthand for the expression of wildly opposite behaviour, especially between private and public selves. This is a brilliant example of Victorian fiction.

The Iron Heel, novel by Jack London, distributed in 1908, portraying the fall of the United States to the brutal extremist autocracy of the Iron Heel, a gathering of syndication business people. Dreading the notoriety of communism, the magnates of the Iron Heel scheme to take out vote based system and, with their mystery police and military, threaten the populace. They induce a German assault on Hawaii on Dec. 4, 1912; as communist transformations overturn industrialist legislatures all over the planet, the Iron Heel has 52 communist individuals from the U.S. Congress detained for injustice. Components of London's vision of autocracy, nationwide conflict, and administrative mistreatment ended up being prophetic in the principal half of the twentieth 100 years.

'The Gods of Mars' is a science fantasy novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and it was printed in a complete book form in 1918. The main characters in this novel are John Carter and Carter's wife Dejan Thoris. After the long deportation on Earth, John Carter returned to his beloved Mars. But Dejan Thoris, the woman he loved, had disappeared. Now he was confined in the famous Eden of Mars. This book also holds most probably the first-ever epic air battle between flying battleships. The Black Men of Mars are aggressive democrats who eat the white men and kidnap white women to turn into slaves. They worship an old bat who calls herself the Goddess Issus. John Carter narrates the Black Men as having characteristics that are handsome in the extreme and  says their bodies are  spiritual. John Carter makes two new friends, Thusia the Red Maid, who likes him so much she wants to be his slaves and Xodar the Black Pirate who is pure awesomeness and the best character. Most of the first three quarters of this book are one exhausting battle scene after another or the capture of the  protoganìst and his friends and their escaping. They battle, they are captured, and escape several times. In the last quarter they do escape and their captivity again. The ending  is another big battle.
