Oyabisi IderaabdullahOyaBisi is a Brooklyn-born educator, activist, organizer, author, nonprofit E.D., and the founder of Imani House [NY and Liberia] and The Women of Color Writers' (WOC) Workshop. She co-edited Voices of Brooklyn: Writings from the Women of Color Writes, and her story Imani Means Faith appears in the National Book Foundation's collection, Sounds of this House. Published and honored in Amherst Writers & Artists' Literary Journal, Peregrine, she was also a winner of a prestigious writer's residency at the Hedgebrook retreat and the Blue Mountain Center.
